Okika Devices makes analog FPAAs programmable so engineers can modernize analog  circuits with smaller size, lower power and lower cost.

Okika Devices is the world leader in Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAAs) for analog circuit design and analog signal processing. Our chips and software allow engineers to create, test, and optimize custom analog circuits quickly. FPAAs let you reprogram analog circuits in real time, enabling rapid prototyping without the cost or delay of fabricating a new chip.

What is a Field Programmable Analog Array?

A Field Programmable Analog Array works like a digital FPGA for analog circuits. Instead of digital logic gates, FPAAs use configurable analog blocks like operational and differential amplifiers with capacitor arrays that can be programmed as internal resistors or capacitors. You can connect and program these blocks with Okika’s analog software cores to create analog signal processing functions for applications such as sensor interfacing, audio processing, industrial controls, and low-power analog computing.

FlexAnalog(™) FPAAs

  • Switched-Capacitor technology for efficient multi-channel analog signal processing
  • 4 configurable analog blocks per chip for rapid analog prototyping, totaling 8 core amplifiers plus 7 input/output amplifiers
  • Pre-built library of verified analog circuit cores for fast design cycles
  • Software-controlled filters and amplification for real-time analog circuit adjustments
  • Ideal for audio, sonar, sensors, and other multi-channel analog applications

SoC FPAAs

  • Floating-Gate technology with large arrays of configurable analog blocks
  • Integrated digital logic and 16-bit microcontroller for complex analog computations
  • Supports large numbers of sensors or high-channel-count analog processing in a single chip
  • Perfect for sensor interfacing and processing, signal filtering, industrial control systems, audio and sonar signal classification, IoT, robotics and vector matrix multiplication (VMM)

Why Choose FPAAs

  • Analog Flexibility
Program and update analog circuits in software for faster design iterations.  Reconfigurable FPAAs can be made into multi-use circuit applications with the same electronics, by in-circuit reprogramming.
  • Rapid Prototyping
Test new analog designs without the cost and delay of fabricating custom chips
  • System Efficiency
Reduce power, cost, and board space with integrated SoC FPAA solutions
  • Wide Applications
Designed for sensor interfacing, analog signal conditioning, filtering, audio and sonar processing, robotics, IoT, and low-power analog computing

How FPAAs Work

  • Configurable Analog Cores
FPAAs contain pre-designed analog building blocks called Configurable Analog Cores. Okika’s design software allows the user to design and interconnect them with software cores to create user defined analog circuit functions.
  • Analog Equivalent to an FPGA
While an FPGA works with digital logic gates, an FPAA works with analog components embedded directly inside the chip. This makes it ideal for designing complex analog circuits and analog computing solutions.
  • Reconfigurable Design
FPAAs allow in-circuit updates and real-time analog prototyping. You can adjust filter parameters, amplification stages, or signal routing without using another fixed analog circuit built from fixed, discrete parts.
  • System-Level Efficiency Okika FPAAs deliver high analog performance, reduced power consumption, and lower per-unit cost through tightly integrated analog SoC architecture
